What We're Packing for London's Hottest Summer Yet
The Airyday Travel Edit

London is having a bit of a hot girl summer!
With warmer days and heatwave headlines popping up across the UK, we're packing our SPF Wardrobes (literally) and heading overseas to launch Airyday in the UK, showing a whole new crowd where daily SPF can actually be something you look forward to wearing.
As Australians, we've spent years mastering the art of warm-weather dressing, daily SPF and travelling well. So, before you zip up your suitcase, here's everything the Airyday girls are packing and swearing by for a summer abroad.

1. The Outfit Formula
The easiest way to avoid overpacking? We’re choosing a colour palette with max 4 colours.
We're packing mostly neutrals with a few pops of colour, which means every piece works together without effort. From meetings and launch events to dinners and sightseeing, the goal is an endless rotation of outfits that feel polished but effortless. For colour, we're letting accessories do the heavy lifting.
Before adding anything to your suitcase, ask yourself:
- Does this work with at least two outfits?
- Would I actually reach for this at home?
If the answer is no, it stays behind.
2. The SPF Wardrobe
Gone are the days of assuming London equals cloudy skies. UV rays are present year-round, and with warmer temperatures becoming more common across the UK, SPF is one of the hardest-working products in our travel bags. Of course, we're packing the entire SPF Wardrobe so we can choose what our skin is craving each day.
Fresh off the plane: Clear As Day SPF50+ for hydration and that juicy, skin-drenching glow.
Running between meetings: Mineral Mousse SPF50+ for a matte, blurred finish that stays put.
Events and dinners: Golden Glow SPF50+ for a sun-kissed glow without the sun.
Airyday tip: Keep one SPF in your carry-on and another in your handbag so you're never caught without it.

3. Hydration starts BEFORE boarding
As we know, a long-haul flight can leave skin feeling tight, dry and tired before you've even landed. One thing we never travel without? A reusable water bottle.
We're packing our Frank Green bottle because it's lightweight, leakproof and easy to fill once we're through security. Bonus points if you're bringing electrolyte sachets for extra hydration during the flight.
4. Carry on heroes
There are a few things that never leave our carry-on:
Therabody SleepMask
For blocking out cabin lights and making overnight flights slightly more bearable. Bonus: the Therabody SleepMask even has gentle massage settings, making it our favourite way to switch off.
35mm Co Reloadable Camera
Some memories deserve more than a camera roll! Pro tip: always ask airport security to manually inspect your camera and film rolls, as scanners can damage the film.
Night Rain Sleep Mask
Airplane cabins aren't exactly known for being skin-friendly. Before take-off, we apply a generous layer of Night Rain Sleep Mask to lock in hydration and help prevent that tight, dehydrated feeling by landing. Yes, you can sleep in it!

5. Don’t pack for jet lag, prepare for it.
Packing smart is one thing. Preparing your body is another. A few habits we're relying on:
- Adjust your sleep schedule before flying (we use TimeShifter)
- Get sunlight as soon as you land
- Walk instead of napping
- Save caffeine for the morning only
Pack light, stay hydrated, wear your SPF every day and leave room in your suitcase for memories (and maybe a little shopping).
Whether you're heading to London, Lisbon or somewhere in between, consider this your reminder that the best trips aren't about doing more, they're about feeling good while you're doing it.
A little preparation, a lot of SPF and an Airyday mindset go a long way!
