Insider Tips to Movement, Wellness & Everyday Rituals.
We had the opportunity to sit down with Tahlia, educator and Program Director at One Hot Yoga & Pilates, to talk about her approach to movement, wellness and self-care and the simple rituals she comes back to every day.

Movement has always been a big part of Tahlia's life. Starting dance at just two years old, she continued well into her twenties before an injury while working overseas introduced her to Pilates.
What started as a way to recover became something much bigger. She became fascinated by the way the body moves and how movement can make you feel stronger, more confident and connected. More than 14 years later, that curiosity continues to shape the way she teaches.
“After 14 years of teaching, I still feel like I'm learning from movement every day.”
For Tahlia, wellness isn't about having a perfect routine or ticking every box. It's much more about finding what makes you feel good and creating habits that genuinely fit into your life.

What does wellness mean to you?Wellness is about feeling good in your body and having the energy to enjoy your life. |
For me, wellness is about feeling good in your body and having the energy to enjoy your life. It’s not about being perfect or following a strict routine. It’s about finding balance and creating habits that genuinely support you.
What do you love most about Pilates/yoga?I love that Pilates and yoga can meet you exactly where you are. |

There’s always another layer to explore, whether that’s strength, mobility, balance, breath, control or simply becoming more aware of how you move. I also love that the same exercise can feel completely different depending on what your body needs that day.
For Tahlia, the best routines aren't necessarily the most complicated ones. The same approach that she extends to her skincare routine. With so much of her time spent teaching, travelling and being outdoors, SPF has become something Tahlia doesn't have to think twice about.
“SPF is one of those things that I've become very consistent with because it's such a simple way to look after your skin long term.”
It's now part of her morning ritual, whether she's heading to the studio, travelling somewhere sunny or spending the day outdoors. And while SPF is her first step, she also loves adding a good hat and sunglasses when she's out in the sun.

Why is SPF an important part of your everyday routine? It’s such a simple way to look after your skin long term. |
SPF is one of those things that I’ve become very consistent with because it’s such a simple way to look after your skin long term.
I spend a lot of time teaching, travelling and being outdoors, so protecting my skin from UV exposure is really important to me. I’m also currently pregnant, so my skin has become a lot more sensitive, which has made me even more conscious about protecting it.
For me, SPF is just part of my everyday routine. It’s something I put on every morning without really thinking about it.
What's your favourite way to protect your skin when you're outdoors or travelling?I love a good hat, sunglasses and Clear As Day SPF50+. |

SPF is definitely my first step, and I can’t go past Clear As Day SPF50+. It has become a real part of my morning ritual, whether I’m heading to the studio, travelling or spending the day outdoors.
I also love a good hat and sunglasses, particularly when I’m travelling somewhere sunny. I love being outdoors and making the most of my time in the sun, but I’m definitely conscious of protecting my skin while I do it.
For Tahlia, wellness has never been about doing everything perfectly. It’s about finding the everyday rituals that make you feel good, from moving your body and nourishing yourself to taking a little time for self-care. Whether she’s teaching Pilates, heading outdoors or enjoying her morning coffee, her approach is refreshingly simple: find what works for you, make it part of your routine and keep showing up for yourself. After all, feeling your best starts with the little things you do every day.
