Hi Rachel,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedbac, we’re thrilled to hear you’re loving the larger size, the tube upgrade and how well the formula blends on your skin!
We completely understand the concern around sunscreen testing and SPF formulation right now. To reassure you, all Airyday formulas are independently developed and are not linked in any way to the recently recalled formulas or manufacturers. Each of our sunscreens has been tested across multiple accredited laboratories, both locally and globally, and validated to AUS/NZ ISO standards with and without water resistance.
In addition, we’ve completed secondary testing against FDA protocols as part of our global expansion plans, and we can confirm that all products meet the benchmarks required under each relevant ISO standard.
We’re also aware that current ISO protocols can allow for interpretation and aren’t as robust as some newer methodologies now emerging. As members of an industry body, we actively support ongoing conversations with the TGA to strengthen testing requirements and welcome the move toward more advanced testing methods.
Importantly, the TGA has issued instructions to affected brands, and Airyday is not among them. Out of an abundance of caution, we’ve also commenced additional spot and cross-check testing using both ISO and newer methodologies.
Protective efficacy is our highest priority. Airyday was founded following our Founder’s own skin cancer diagnosis, and we remain deeply committed to delivering safe, effective sun protection you can truly trust.
We really appreciate your support and are so glad Airyday has earned a place in your routine. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions at all!
Warmly,
Adri & The Airyday Team x
